Introduction

Meadowlark is a service of JoySpring Ventures LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used and protected.

By using Meadowlark — whether as a group organizer or a member who joins via a group link — you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

• Account information (organizers): Your phone number, used to verify your identity via one-time passcode when you sign up or log in.
• Member information: First name and phone number submitted through a group join link. We record the time you consented to receive SMS from that group.
• SMS and MMS content: Text messages and photos you send in reply to weekly prompts. These are stored and used to compile your group's weekly digest.
• Payment information: For the Plus tier, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number.
• Usage data: Aggregated, non-identifying information about how the service is used (e.g., feature interactions). We do not build individual behavioral profiles.

How We Use Your Information

• Send weekly SMS prompts to group members
• Compile submitted responses into a weekly digest
• Deliver digest links via SMS to group members
• Verify organizer identity via one-time passcode
• Process payments and send billing confirmations (Plus tier)
• Respond to support requests and account inquiries
• Improve and maintain the service

SMS Messaging

Meadowlark is an SMS-based service registered with carriers under the A2P 10DLC Social/Community use case. By joining a group or creating an organizer account, you consent to receive automated SMS messages from Meadowlark.

• Message frequency: Recurring messages per active group, which may include prompts, reminders, and digest links. Message frequency varies by group activity.
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
• To opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will be removed from all further SMS for that group immediately.
• To resume: Reply START to re-enable SMS.
• For help: Email support@joyspringventures.com.
• We never sell or share your phone number for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are never written to application logs.

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate Meadowlark. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf and has its own privacy policy.

• Supabase — hosted database, authentication, and file storage
• Twilio — SMS and MMS delivery, message intake, and one-time passcode delivery
• Anthropic Claude (via OpenRouter) — classifies inbound messages as submissions or noise, and composes digest layouts. Message content you send may be processed by these AI services.
• Vercel — application hosting and scheduled jobs
• Stripe — payment processing for the Plus tier

We do not disclose your personal information to any third party for their own marketing purposes.

Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest.
• Phone numbers are never exposed in full to organizers within the dashboard — they are masked to the last four digits.
• Digest pages are accessible only via an unguessable unique link (a cryptographic random identifier) and are marked to prevent search engine indexing.
• Photos submitted by members are stored in a private file bucket and accessed only via short-lived signed URLs; raw storage URLs are never exposed publicly.
• We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your group is active and as needed to provide the service.

• Digest links on the free tier become inaccessible after seven days; the underlying content remains stored and can be unlocked by upgrading to the Plus tier.
• Plus-tier digests are archived indefinitely.
• Member records, prompts, submissions, and media are retained for service continuity. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@joyspringventures.com.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP
• Decline further communications from us

Children's Privacy

Meadowlark is available to users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via SMS or email. Continued use of Meadowlark after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
